Summarize a book
Get a one-page summary or chapter-by-chapter notes from a book's own text, with the cost shown first.
Summaries are written from the book's text, read from its EPUB or PDF through Calibre.
Before you start
- Calibre's Content Server is on.
- Model Hub has a provider.
A one-page summary
- Open the book's note.
- Run Books & Shelves: Summarize this book (one page).
- Read the estimate, then confirm.
A book too long for the model is digested chapter by chapter first, then summarized.
To do a whole shelf, open the shelf and run Summarize the books on this shelf.
Chapter notes
Run Books & Shelves: Write chapter notes for this book. Each chapter gets its own notes. A quote is kept only when it is found word for word in the book.
What to know
- There is an estimate before every run.
- A call billed well above its listed price stops the run.
- Undo puts an earlier summary back.
