# Draft a write-up

> Answer a question from a collection's cards, in a note where every quote has been checked against its passage.

## Before you start

The collection is indexed.

## Steps

1. Run **Clusters: Draft a write-up…** and pick the collection.
2. Write the question. Optionally add seeds, one per line, as `Name = what to search for`.
3. Choose the note the draft goes to. By default it is under `Clusters/Drafts/<collection>/`.
4. Select **Find cards**. Clusters searches every facet for the question, one card per book, and looks for disagreements between books. It embeds only the question and the seeds, and writes nothing.
5. Read what it found: the cards, the draft's sections, the estimated cost of the one writing call, and where the draft will go.
6. Select **Draft**.

## What you get

A note with the draft in sections. The sections come from the lens: for the nonfiction lens, advice, lived accounts and disagreements.

- **Every quote is checked.** A quote that is not a card's quote and not in the text of a passage the draft was given is flagged in the note where it stands.
- **A new note is created.** A note that is already there keeps everything it holds and gets the draft added at its end, under its own heading.
- **The model's text goes in as plain text.** It cannot add headings, code blocks, embeds or remote images.

If the reply was cut off at the length limit, or is not a draft Clusters can read, nothing is written. The message says why and where the reply is kept.
